Irish Embassy issues visa alert for AD residents


Residents should be aware of the change.

The Irish Embassy in the UAE has posted a notification on their twitter handle regarding visa application services in Abu Dhabi.
According to the tweet, "VFS Global will now operate in downtown Abu Dhabi", where Abu Dhabi-based expats can apply for visa to enter Ireland.
This is the first Visa Application Centre in Abu Dhabi for Ireland. 
"This is the 15th location worldwide where VFS global and Ireland cooperate in this manner."     
According to the Embassy of Ireland in UAE website, the new change was taken into effect from June 28 of this year.

Supreme Court to hear APS attack case on Oct 5 More than 140 people, most of them students, were martyred in the terrorist attack in Dec 2014. ISLAMABAD  After a longstanding demand of the victim’s parents to conduct a judicial inquiry into the 2014 APS massacre, the Surpeme Court of Pakistan has fixed October 5 as the date for hearing of the suo moto notice.  A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Saqib Nisar will hear the case. Notices have also been sent to the attorney general and advocate general of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa among others.  It may be mentioned here that Chief Justice Saqib Nisar had had taken a suo motu notice of the matter in April this year when parents of some victims approached him while he was hearing other cases in Peshawar.
